TOOL MANAGEMENT

Lost and unused equipment is no longer one of your concerns

What does it consist of?

Every company runs into the same problems: Where has my drill gone? Why do I have two of the same machine? Which van is the laser in? Who stole this device? All of these questions come from a lack of visibility over the tools and from equipment-management problems.

Hit-Tracking offers a solution to all of these problems: fit each vehicle with an OBD reader so that each piece of equipment can be fitted with a Bluetooth tag.

You can then optimise inventory management and avoid losses and theft thanks to the daily reports sent by the platform.

OUR SOLUTIONS FOR TOOL GEOLOCATION

1. NFC Technology

Inexpensive and very simple to set up and use, NFC tags make tool management straightforward.

Place the tags on your tools and scan them with an NFC-compatible smartphone. Each scan shows the tool’s position on the map.

What could be simpler?

2. Bluetooth 5.0 Beacon

This technology lets you geolocate your tools with a reader that scans the tags present in its range. You then get analysis reports on tools entering and leaving an area or a vehicle, and on the inventory difference.

The scan is automatic, for example when a vehicle’s engine starts and stops.

This solution is a perfect fit for any contractor who wants to find the location of their tools quickly and follow their movements across job sites.

3. IoT (Internet of Things) technology

The IoT tracker is fully autonomous. It has its own battery (4 to 10 years of autonomy depending on use) and does not need to be connected to the vehicle battery.

The IoT tracker is mainly used for large equipment without a battery, such as trolleys, pallets or containers.

This tracker uses IoT technology (Internet of Things) and the Thingstream network.

Internet of Things (IoT)

Dimensions: 89 x 74 x 41 mm.
Performance: optimal between −20°C and +85°C

GPS positions are sent at most 140 times in 24 hours (about one signal every 11 minutes). We usually configure it to send 1 to 2 positions a day in order to extend battery life.

The approximate battery life is provided when the standalone IoT tag is configured.

The equipment warranty is covered by the manufacturer.

4. The QR Code

The QR code is used to geolocate tools and to manage a tool stock by scanning with a smartphone, a tablet or a dedicated scanner.

Each stock item is fitted with a unique QR code that is scanned (automatically or not) to record material coming in or going out.

THE ADVANTAGES OF USING TOOL TRACKING

FIND YOUR TOOLS MORE QUICKLY

The OBD reader installed in the vehicle instantly sends all the equipment scanned in the vehicle and around it, within a radius of a few metres. If a device is not listed by a company reader for a certain period of time, an alert is sent to you.

OPTIMIZE MATERIAL PLANNING

Thanks to equipment location, you can quickly and easily dispatch which equipment should go to which site. That puts an end to buying the same tools twice.

OPTIMIZE MATERIAL MANAGEMENT COSTS

No more unnecessary purchases because you think a machine is lost or stolen: equipment location tells you at any time who has the equipment.

SECURE THE EQUIPMENT

With Hit-Tracking you have permanent visibility of your tools. If a tool is not detected by a reader for a certain period of time, an alert is also sent to warn you.

SPECIFICATIONS OF THE TOOL LOCALIZATION

Inventory management and inventory differences

Our online platform lets you analyse, through reports, the inventory of an area and the differences between entries and exits over a period. You then have a quick view of the missing tools.

EQUIPMENT GEOLOCATION

Each solution displays the tools on the map so you can see their position. With our online platform you can also view the equipment list and its position from anywhere, with a simple internet connection.

DIRECT INFORMATION INTEGRATION

The online environment lets you collect all the tool information at any time. The data can also be integrated into Hit-Office or another management software.

QUALITY EQUIPMENT

All our solutions use quality equipment from countries known for the strength and quality of their materials.

SECURE CONNECTION SSL

The SSL system synchronises information securely. The SSL connection gives you confidentiality, integrity and authentication.

MANUAL ASSEMBLY POSSIBLE

The simple installation lets you carry out the assembly and configuration yourself.

DISAPPEARANCE ALERT

If a device is not recognised by a reader for a certain period of time, an alert is sent to warn you that the equipment has disappeared. You can consult the device’s location history at any time.
